Conley A.C.E. Foundation, Inc.

Conley A.C.E. Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded on June 9, 2017 by Dr. George L. Conley Jr.

The journey to the Conley A.C.E. Foundation, Inc. began in 1992 when Dr. Conley accepted the position as the flag football head coach at Jackie Robinson YCMA in San Diego, CA.  He served as the YMCA’s head coach until 1996.   From 1997 to 2014, Dr. Conley coached youth football for the Valencia Park Hornets, where he often found himself in a mentoring role for the young men on the team.

In addition to supporting youth sports, Dr. Conley has always emphasized the importance of education and encouraged higher learning.  So, on May 12, 2016, four college-bound seniors from Hazlehurst High School were awarded with the very first Dr. Conley Scholarship award.

Seeking to merge both interests and serve students on a larger scale, the Conley A.C.E Foundation, Inc. was created.  With its focus on Achievement, Commitment & Education (A.C.E.), the foundation works to improve the lives of youth via two avenues: 1.) The Dr. George L. Conley Jr. Scholarship Award and  2.) The A.C.E. Academy.

The Dr. George L. Conley Jr. Scholarship Award

This scholarship is awarded to low income underrepresented students of color who exemplify a high level of academic achievement, school involvement and community service. The high school scholarship recipients must have plans to attend a two or four-year college or university.

The A.C.E. Academy

The A.C.E. Academy provides career preparation training. This includes resume writing, interviewing techniques and soft employment skills. The goal is to provide students with the tools that will allow them to be more competitive and better equipped when preparing to enter the workforce.
